Convert Revolut Business CSV to QBO / QFX / OFX
Revolut's US business help article says a transaction statement can be generated as PDF or CSV. It does not mention QBO, QFX, or OFX. This is the business account article, not a personal Revolut account.
Generate a CSV statement
Transaction statements (Revolut United States, business) says:
- Go to Home on the main menu.
- Select the three dots and then Statements.
- Choose Transaction statement and apply filters.
- Choose the date range. You cannot select a date before the account open date.
- Choose the file type. Revolut says it supports PDF and CSV.
- Select Generate to download, or Share to email the file.
Statements are generated in UTC unless you set a local time under Appearance. Revolut says a CSV can then include both local and UTC times. You need permission to manage accounts. The article says a transaction statement contains the company name, registered address, account name and currency, and the transactions for the range. It does not publish the CSV column headings. Extra lines above the table are likely. Set the header row in the converter to the row that names the columns.
CSV columns
The source linked below does not publish the column headings in the file. After you download it, use the header row you actually see. In the converter, map a date, a description, and either one signed amount or separate money-in and money-out columns. The preview rewrites dates as YYYY-MM-DD so you can confirm the day and the month before you download.
Convert it
- Open the converter and drop in the CSV or Excel file. Excel (.xlsx or .xls) is fine.
- If the bank put your name or account number above the table, set the header row to the row that names the columns.
- Map the date, the description, and either one signed amount or separate paid-in and paid-out columns. Confirm the dates in the preview, which shows them as YYYY-MM-DD.
- Choose QBO for QuickBooks Desktop, QFX for Quicken, or OFX, and download.
Import the converted file
- QuickBooks Online
- QuickBooks Desktop (needs a .qbo file)
- Quicken for Windows or Mac (needs a .qfx file)
